HIGH PRIORITY (Big Focus) Programs:

Home Renovation Savings Program

  • Rebates for home energy-efficient upgrades such as insulation, air sealing, windows and doors, heat pump water heaters, smart thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage.
  • Delivered in collaboration with Enbridge, eligible homes can be heated with electricity, natural gas, wood, oil or propane.
  • Homeowners can start with a home energy assessment, then complete two or more upgrades to receive rebates – or they can skip the assessment and receive rebates for completing single eligible upgrades.

Peak Perks

  • Rewards residential electricity consumers who have qualified smart thermostats for participating in up to three-hour thermostat adjustments during periods of peak electricity demand.
  • Receive a $75 virtual prepaid MasterCard for enrolling in the program and $20 for each additional year of enrollment.
  • Weekday adjustments are made between June 1 and September 30.
  • Participants can opt out at any time.

Energy Affordability Program

  • No-cost support to income-eligible residential electricity consumers by helping them lower their monthly electricity costs and increase their home comfort.
  • Support ranges from mailed energy-savings kits to homes, installed refrigerators and freezers, to air source heat pumps – all at no cost.
