Generation Connection Information Package<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Introduction<\/h3>\n

In Accordance with the Ontario Energy Board\u2019s (OEB\u2019s) Distributed Energy Resources Connection Procedure (DERCP), HEARST Power Distribution Co. Ltd. (Hearst Power) is providing this \u201cGeneration Connection Information Package<\/i>\u201d to customers with the information necessary to connect a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) to Hearst Power\u2019s distributions system.<\/p>\n

The package will provide the process, information, applications, and other relevant documents required to facilitate the DER connection. The Generator Connection Information Package and all supporting documents are available electronically here<\/b><\/a>. Proponents may contact Hearst Power at the contact information provided below for a paper copy.<\/p>\n

      Required Approvals<\/h3>\n

      Depending on the size of the DER, various approvals may be required:<\/p>\n

      • Host distributor connection approvals (managed by Hearst Power).<\/li>\n
      • Transmitter connection approvals (managed by Hearst Power).<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Electrical Safety Authority Inspection and Connection Authorization<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Canadian Standards Association \u2013 applicable to all equipment installations<\/span><\/li>\n
