There is no good news to share, the power outage is expected to last into this evening. Early this afternoon, a Hydro One breaker on a different circuit broke while restoration to the central circuit was being tried. Therefore, this breaker needs to be replaced and further evaluation will be needed. Hearst Power Distribution will be trying to make small adjustment within our own system to share power from areas where this is currently hydro with other areas that don't have any since 7h30 this morning...there is no guarantee that this will work but it is worth the try. Il n'y a pas de bonnes nouvelles à annoncer : la panne de courant devrait se prolonger jusqu'à ce soir. En début d'après-midi, un disjoncteur de Hydro One sur un circuit différent a cédé lors d'une tentative![]()
de rétablir le circuit central. Par conséquent, ce disjoncteur doit être remplacé, et une évaluation supplémentaire sera nécessaire. Hearst Power essaiera d'apporter de petits ajustements dans notre propre système pour partager l'électricité des zones qui en ont actuellement avec celles qui en sont privées depuis 7h30 ce matin... il n'y a aucune garantie que ceci fonctionne, mais ne jugeons important de l'essayer. D'autres mises à jour suivront.
We are very sorry for the current outage in this extreme cold temperatures. We do not have much update to share other than the Hydro One crew has been dispatched for investigation and repair. They should arrive in Hearst around 11:00am this morning.![]()
