Smart Meters Certification – 2018

To ensure smart meters’ continued performance and accuracy, starting in January 2018, Hearst Power Distribution will randomly select and replace a number of smart meters throughout its service area to have them inspected, calibrated and recertified in accordance with industry standards.  Our Technicians will advise affected customers by knocking on their door, but will carry on with the meter replacement even if there is no one at home.  To complete the replacement, power will need to be shut down for approximately 5 mins.  Power will be restored as soon as the work is completed.  Please note that this will not affect in any way your electricity consumption nor the charges.

Thanking you in advance for your cooperation.
